PEA PROTEIN & PEA FLOUR
Peas have a low carbon footprint, and pea crops require less water than animal protein sources and soybeans. Moreover, peas are important drivers for fertilizing the soil and are used in crop rotation as part of sustainable farming practices. Peas are rich in high biological value protein, dietary fiber, medium-low glycemic starch and a number of essential minerals and vitamins. Pea protein used in vEGGs Omelette! is not chemically treated, non-GMO, high in essential amino acids, low in antinutritional factors and high digestibility.
KALA NAMAK SALT
Kala Namak is a kiln-fired rock salt used in South Asia. It is mined in the regions surrounding the Himalayas.
Kala Namak is a popular spice in vegan cuisine because it gives an egg-like smell and flavor. Kala Namak salt owes its specific smell to its sulfur content.
Black Himalayan salt, thanks to its healing properties, is also used in traditional Indian medicine - Ayurveda.
PLANT CAROTENOIDS
Carotenoids are natural pigments found in yellow, orange and red plants.
They are natural antioxidants whose role is to protect against free radicals. As a result, carotenoids counteract aging and protect the body against oxidative stress.
Carotenoids play another important role in the human diet - they are a source of vitamin A, which protects against diseases and prevents aging.
CHICKPEA FLOUR
Chickpeas are legumes whose seeds are rich in protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals.
They are one of the oldest plants in the world, which has been cultivated for thousands of years.
The ingredients contained in chickpeas provide high-quality protein, fiber, antioxidants and plant sterols. Chickpeas improve the frequency of bowel movements and lipid profile, which makes them an excellent diet component not only for vegans and vegetarians.
PLANT FIBERS
Fiber is a plant-derived substance that is not digested by humans.
Fiber improves intestinal peristalsis, makes food more satiating and regulates blood sugar levels.
Regular consumption of fiber is associated with a reduced risk of some diseases, including colorectal cancer and cardiovascular disease.
YEAST EXTRACT
The amino acids and nucleotides naturally present in the yeast extract are responsible for giving vEGGs a bit of umami taste.
Yeast extract is rich in B vitamins, therefore it is an ideal food supplement for vegans and vegetarians.
GUAR GUM
Guar Gum comes from the seeds of a shrub called “Guar”. It is an annual plant in the legume family.
Guar gum – which essentially is a fiber - is well known for its ability to thicken food products, but it may also provide some health benefits.
Studies indicate that it is beneficial for digestion, blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and weight maintenance.
XANTHAN GUM
Xanthan gum is a completely natural substance – it is a high-molecular-weight polysaccharide, produced by fermentation of carbohydrates by the bacterium Xanthomonas campestris.
Xanthan gum is primarily a source of fiber.
NATURAL FLAVORING
Natural flavor – our secret ingredient – produced solely from plant-based raw materials.
TAPIOCA
Tapioca is also known as cassava, manioc or yuka. It is a starch extracted from the roots of the cassava plant - a species native to Brazil and the tropical areas of the Americas. It is easily digestible and is neutral in flavor.
Tapioca is gluten free and hypoallergenic, so its consumptions is safe for people with allergies.
POTATO STARCH
Potato flour consists mostly of starch (84%) obtained from potatoes.
Just like tapioca, potato flour is gluten-free and hypoallergenic.
PSYLLIUM HUSK
Psyllium is a form of fiber made from the husks of the Plantago ovata plant's seeds.
Psyllium husk supports digestive health, helps alleviate diarrhoea, constipation, or irritable bowel syndrome. It can also lower the risk of colon cancer, reduce cholesterol, and even help with weight loss.
INULIN
Inulin is a type of prebiotic fiber that occurs naturally in many plant-based foods. Our inulin is obtained from chicory root.
Inulin promotes the growth of beneficial gut microflora.
Research has linked it to several health benefits, such as improving digestive health, helping control diabetes, and aiding weight loss.
